Lilt

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-14

These terms apply when you use Lilt. The web app at lilt-cu8.pages.dev is what’s shipping today; native iOS / Android apps are in development and these terms will extend to cover them when they’re published to the App Store and Play Store. By signing in, you agree to these terms.

What Lilt does

Lilt is an AI-powered language tutor. We provide voice and text conversations with an automated tutor (“Mira”), vocabulary review, and progress tracking. The service runs on third-party AI models (DeepSeek, Cloudflare Workers AI) and a transactional email provider (Resend) — see our Privacy Policy for details.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Lilt to:

Mira’s replies are AI-generated and may contain mistakes. Don’t rely on them as legal, medical, financial, or safety advice.

Our content vs your content

The Lilt app, designs, and library scenarios are ours. The transcripts of your conversations and the vocabulary you save are yours — you keep ownership; we hold a limited licence to store and display them so we can run the service for you. Account deletion removes our copy.

Service changes & availability

We can change features, prices (with notice), or shut down individual languages or tutors as the app evolves. We aim for high availability but don’t promise uninterrupted service — planned maintenance and outages happen.

Termination

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or attack the service. You can terminate yours anytime via Settings or by uninstalling. On termination, your data is deleted within 30 days unless legally required otherwise.

Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Lilt is provided “as is” without warranties, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages (lost time, missed deadlines, etc.).

Disputes & governing law

We’re a small team operating from Tashkent, Uzbekistan. These terms are governed by the law of Uzbekistan. Disputes go through Tashkent courts unless your local consumer-protection law gives you a stronger forum — in which case that applies.

Changes to these terms

We’ll update this page when terms change and bump the date at the top. Continued use of Lilt after a change means you accept the new terms.
